Orchard Cafe is a cozy spot tucked into the Market Place at Piney Orchard, serving up classic American breakfast and brunch fare with a family-friendly vibe. If you’re in the Odenton area looking for a place to settle in with a hearty morning meal, this cafe offers a straightforward menu filled with comforting options like biscuits and gravy, various omelettes, and pancakes that locals keep coming back for.

The interior is modest in size, with around a dozen tables and booths, which makes for a bustling but intimate environment, especially on weekend mornings when a short wait for a table isn’t uncommon. The seating arrangement can feel a bit snug, so those needing accessible entry might find the foyer layout a little awkward. Still, the staff tends to be attentive and welcomes guests warmly, which helps smooth over the cozy quarters.

The menu features familiar breakfast standards alongside some regional twists—dish highlights include a well-praised Greek omelette, a rich French Eggs Benedict paired with home fries, and standout items like the eggs benedict topped with crab cakes. The home fries and sausage patties complement many dishes, and there are enough options to satisfy varied tastes, including lighter choices such as a tuna melt or scrapple with eggs prepared any style. Coffee and hot chocolate also provide a comforting touch to early visits.

This cafe suits families looking for a casual, no-fuss breakfast spot and locals who appreciate traditional comfort food served all day. Weekday mornings appear less crowded, making them the best time to enjoy a meal without the weekend rush. The friendly service and steady flow of patrons create a lively atmosphere where neighbors drop in for familiar flavors and a simple, satisfying start to the day.

Everything you want in a cafe! Delicious food. Great coffee. Friendly service. The biscuits and gravy was good. I’ll also recommend the breakfast sandwich and the omelette. This place can be busy on a Saturday morning so you may need to wait a couple minutes for a table if you go at prime breakfast times.

We are out-of-towners visiting our grandchildren nearby. We stopped for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. The café was populated with a fair amount of customers but we were seated immediately. We both ordered gravy. My husband had sausage gravy with biscuits. I got the chipped beef on Texas toast. I also added a side of Home Fries. After tasting the potatoes, my husband ordered his own home fries. They were really tasty. We both enjoyed our gravies, happy that it wasn't too thick. The biscuits had a nice flavor, as well. The servers were all attentive and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We wish we had a place like this to frequent in our own City & State. We would recommend a visit.

Breakfast and service was great. Loved the western omelet and the ham and cheese omelet. The only feedback is that why have a foyer? It's very awkward for a customer in a wheelchair to get into the establishment. Take the foyer down and replace it with a couple more tables to earn you more money in the long run.

Located on the Market Place Piney Orchard, off of Piney Orchard Parkway. Plenty of parking. Relatively small in the inside, maybe 12-14 tables/booths. Had a nice crowd for a late breakfast. Very clean. Went there for a late breakfast (which I believe they serve all day). Our server was Debbie. Very friendly and attentive. Lots of breakfast choices ranging from eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, waffles and biscuits and gravy. I ordered a 2 egg (scrambled) platter ($7.99) that included their home fries. Comes with a slice of toast but I ‘upgraded’ to the croissant for an additional $1. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the croissant melted in your mouth. Additionally, a full serving of the biscuits and gravy ($7.99) was ordered. Large bowl of gravy that included 4 biscuits. The biscuits were light and the gravy was very good. Coffee was ordered with free refills. There must have been over 1,00 customer pictures on the wall. A military discount was not available. Overall, a very nice experience and I will return.

Eggs Benedict crab cakes is amazing. I’ve never had an Eggs Benedict taste this good! The service is great and the people are friendly. The only negative is that it’s a small and tight place.

Nice little spot. Must be popular, as the rotation for seating was still going at 11am. I was seated quickly, food came out quickly, staff was engaging. Food: I had the French toast platter, home fries, & sausage gravy with biscuit. I'm a foodie, so I had to try things that matter. French toast was up there with my best tastings, eggs cooked light & fluffy, almost didn't finish the 2 sausage patties, because they were big (could've been cooked a little longer). My only regret was not eating the sausage gravy when it came out (it got a little cold on me), it looked soupy, but when I ate it, the consistency was perfect & the taste was awesome. The home fries were as advertised in other reviews. This will be my spot when I'm back in the area. #ChefPaje
